Role Summary

Your primary roles include the development of Tests for our internal business applications and customer facing websites along with improving our Development Process and Test Automation Process. You must be able to work with our Project Lead, peer developers and business sponsors to deliver a quality solution to our business stakeholders. You will be supporting Olympia’s in-house application by writing tests and working with automation and CI/CD.

Role Responsibilities

  • Development of Unit Tests in C#, ASP.NET, MSTest v2
  • Development of JavaScript tests using JavaScript Testing Framework (Jasmine, Mocha, Chai)
  • Development of automated front-end testing with Selenium
  • Working with and improving on our current CI/CD along with participating in our Dev Ops practice
  • Decipher and translate business logic into test plans on VSTS

Experience and Skills

  • College and or University Degree in Computer Science or comparable experience (3+ years)
  • 3+ years software development experience in C# and Visual Studio
  • Experience with xUnit, NUnit or MSTest testing frameworks
  • Experience with Selenium RC and Selenium Web Driver
  • Solid understanding of the MVC architecture
  • Strong exposure to object oriented design and design patterns is necessary
  • Front-end development using JavaScript, jQuery
  • Experience with version control systems such as GIT, SVN or TFS
  • Ability to learn new technologies and grow in coding capabilities
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Background check will be required

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using Test Driven Development
  • Experience with Telerik and Telerik Test Studio
  • An understanding of database fundamentals, TSQL and/or equivalent database experience
  • Exposure to the agile development methodology, iterative development and testing
  • Continuous Integration, Code Promotion and Deployment
  • Financial applications experience an asset
