Role Summary

The Operations Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Currency & Global Payments Operational Accounting management team. Accounting responsibilities include the contribution in all daily accounting activities including all account reconciliation, bank reconciliations, treasury, EFT, and preparing the corresponding journal entries in our system.

Role Responsibilities

  • Upholds the CGP Division and Olympia’s values, while promoting our motto “With Us, It’s Personal” in all interactions with internal and external customers & partners in business
  • Remain up to date on all Olympia products, and services
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations
  • Manage daily accounting transactions, month and year-end process in our CGP system
  • Treasury and EFT deposit/Payment
  • Reconcile daily bank statement, accounts payable, and receivable
  • Manage balance sheets, and profit/loss statements
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Assist with managerial approvals when necessary
  • Liaise and provide support to the Operational Accounting teams, and Corporate Finance teams as needed
  • The role requires ongoing training & development through formal industry-specific education
  • Other Operational functions as assigned

Experience and Skills

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or appropriate field of study is required
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in related industry, with working experience in accounting
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
  • Previous experience with Sage 300 (Accpac) is preferable
  • Advanced MS Excel skills with the ability to learn and adapt to new technology
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Background check will be required
