Role Summary

Olympia Financial Group is looking for a Network Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. Reporting to the Manager, Information Services, the successful applicant will take a hands-on role in managing the technologies we use to deliver IT infrastructure services with a key focus on cyber security.

Reporting to the Manager, Information Services, and working in close collaboration with the network support team from our Managed Services Provider (MSP).


  • Administration, maintenance, monitoring, documentation, and enhancement of all aspects of the network including Aruba and Cisco infrastructure in physical, virtual, and cloud-hosted environments
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s cybersecurity framework, performing daily monitoring of early-detection systems, and working closely with the Manager, Cybersecurity in performing reviews and developing threat responses
  • Ensuring that system availability and reliability are compliant with service level agreements
  • Working directly with the MSP or technology vendors on support, patching, and lifecycle activities
  • Working with the IT Architect and Software Development teams to implement networking solutions such as API, VPN connectivity, authentication, and facilitating the delivery of web services through web application firewalls, load balancers, and proxies
  • Producing and maintaining process and support documentation for infrastructure, including regular updates of network diagrams
  • Providing excellent customer service, demonstrating advanced problem-solving skills, and delivering timely resolutions
  • Providing network monitoring, maintenance, and reporting - including recording and tracking incidents in the ticketing system and change management system
  • Handling ticket escalations from initial incident through to resolution – finding permanent solutions and recommending infrastructure and process improvements
  • Following organizational change management processes, including communicating changes and outages to the organization and following auditable procedures
  • Demonstrating a willingness to work flexible hours when required to meet critical deadlines, reacting to emergencies, and within scheduled change windows
  • Ensuring technical skills and knowledge stay current with industry standards and best practices

  • Degree, diploma, or certificate in an IT related field is required
  • 3 years hands-on experience in a network or systems analyst role supporting Cisco or HP Aruba networks in an enterprise environment is required
  • Current or renewable certifications in the network field, and a demonstrated ability to learn and achieve new certifications related to Olympia’s technology stack is required
  • Solid experience in cybersecurity forensics, best practices, and/or experience supporting a cybersecurity framework is required
  • Experience with networking in a Microsoft Azure environment is required
  • Strong documentation skills with network diagraming experience
  • Familiarity with Cyber Security frameworks, such as NIST
  • Certifications and training associated with the CCNA, CCNP Security, and Cisco Certified Specialist – Network Security Firepower certifications
  • Certifications and training associated with Aruba networks and Aruba wireless access networks
  • Microsoft Azure training and certifications such as but not limited to the following:
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate AZ-104
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate AZ-700
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate AZ-500
  • Experience and knowledge working in Linux environments is an advantage
  • Experience and knowledge working with Kemp Loadmaster and Barracuda Web Application Firewall is an advantage
  • Experience with radius for network access control and multifactor authentication is an advantage
  • Experience and familiarity with Deploying VOIP and Telephony Solutions is an advantage
